House Albrecht-Kiwitt
Albrecht-Kivitt family home in Alheim (Germany)
Low-energy use wooden house for a family of teachers. The composition was determined by the land parcel and purpose of the premises. The two wings are connected with a large terrace clad in Siberian larch.
Exterior walls are a wooden frame filled with effective insulation. The facades are partially covered with larch, used in the traditional “green” construction.
The air-tightness of the structure, before the finishing work started, was verified using the Blower Door Test method. The Aereco controlled ventilation system is used.
The house was designed and built in 2000-2001 by the Hausbauplus Bureau. All stages of the design, supervision: A. Al-Samarrai, D. Kats.
