Eco-daycare
The distinctive feature of this project is the use of wood – a renewable building material – as the main constructive element. Intensity of its use is hindered by building regulations, restricting the height and spaciousness of the timber-made daycare. Nevertheless, we were able to design an eco-friendly, safe and financially sound facility in full compliance with the SNiP (National Buildind Code).
Along with the use of energy-saving technologies, non-standard spatial solutions were applied, in particular, the placement of playgrounds on the rooftop.
The project design was the winner of the Green Awards in the “Social Facilities” category.
The building was designed by BPS Planung, in partnership with Architectural Centre of the Union of Architects of Moscow. Workshop of Viktor Logvinov.
